Softball Drops Season-Opening Doubleheader to Santa Rosa

Fairfield, Calif. - The Solano softball team dropped its season-opening doubleheader to Santa Rosa on Friday afternoon. Game scores were 14-2 (five innings) and 29-7 (six innings).
Freshman Katie Poole led the Falcon offense with three RBI, going 3-for-5 on the day. Freshman Cristina Aguilar added a 2-for-3 performance with two runs and the team's lone multi-base hit with a double.
Freshmen Kiera Edwards (0-1) and Gracie Alves (0-1) were the pitchers of record in the two games. Edwards threw four complete innings, while Alves tossed 1.1 innings.
Solano (0-2) looks to rebound at Mendocino on Tuesday, Apr. 27. The doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m.
