Solano clinches BVC title

Solano Falcons beat Los Medanos tonight to guarantee them first place in the bay valley conference.   25-23, 25-21, 25-19

It was a hard fought match, LMC did not make it easy for us.  They had a huge lead in set #2, up by 10 points and somehow we pulled within two points and then took the lead late in the game at 20-19, and never looked back.   We struggled a bit on serve receive in set #1 but found our way to finish out the match in only three sets.  The final set the Falcons led the entire way to finish off and guarantee a first place finish in the BVC.

Aliyah Aguiar led the offense with 13 kills 

Jada Cuffie added 11 kills and 2 blocks

Vanya Paopao chipped in 10 kills, finished with 23 assist

AJ Projillo led the way on defense with 18 digs and serving 13-14 with 2 aces

Breanna Davis had an amazing night at defense with 18 digs, serving 15-15 with an ace and 16 assist

Vanessa Semien added 14 digs, served 11-11

Giana Guintu chipped in 12 digs

BVC 9-0

Overall 23-5

Big matches next week: Monday 4pm against Ohlone College.  Wednesday Sophomore night with Napa game time 6pm.  Friday non-conference with Cosumnes River with game time 6pm.
