Solano College Sports Medicine
Mission Statement
The Solano College Sports Medicine staff is committed to care for all of Solano College student-athletes as well as visiting athletic teams. We specialize in advanced rehabilitation and therapy, first aid, emergency care, prevention of injuries and working directly with each athletic program. Certified Athletic Trainers (ATCs) are health care professionals that are trained for evaluation, prevention, and treatment of all athletic injuries. Our goal is to allow our athletes to compete safely and to the best of their ability. Care is given without regard to race, creed, color, national origin, sexual orientation, gender or sport.
General Information
The Solano College athletic training staff is composed of two full-time athletic trainers. The Sports Medicine staff is responsible for the coverage of all of our 11 sports teams, and is available July-May each year.
Solano upgraded the Athletic Training Clinic to a state of the art facility. The 1000+ sq. ft. sports medicine facility includes eight treatment tables, eight physical therapy modalities, two large ice machines, six taping stations, physical therapy and balance area, three whirlpools, plyometric station, and stretching chair. The new and improved facility has allowed the Sports Medicine Department to treat more athletes and offer complete physical therapy programs. Our department offers internships for students with in the Sports Medicine Major Hours and contact information are below.
