Solano Beach Volleyball Edges Folsom Lake and Cosumnes River 3–2
Fairfield, CA – The Solano College beach volleyball team battled to a narrow 3–2 victory over Folsom Lake College in a tightly contested dual, with the Falcons securing wins on courts two, four, and five.
Folsom Lake struck first on the top court, where Lutsiv and Vorster defeated Solano’s No. 1 pair of Guintu and Reyes in straight sets, 21–19, 21–18, in a closely played match.
Solano responded with a thrilling victory at No. 2. The Falcons’ duo of Davis and Projillo fought through a three-set battle to defeat Giordano and Hammer 21–18, 18–21, 19–17, tying the team score and providing one of the day’s most exciting matches.
Folsom Lake regained the lead at No. 3, as Quintanar and Triplett topped Calvelo and Ting 21–7, 21–14.
The Falcons answered back strongly on the final two courts. At No. 4, Irome and Mass controlled the match from the start, earning a convincing 21–15, 21–11 win over Ayers and Pham to even the dual at two matches apiece.
Solano then sealed the team victory at No. 5, where Conley and Lovell delivered a dominant performance, defeating Christy and Myhre 21–8, 21–7 to clinch the 3–2 team win.
With the victory, Solano showed its depth across the lineup, using strong performances from the middle and bottom courts to secure the hard-fought dual.
