Falcons Celebrate Amazing Mens Basketball Sophomores
Tonight, we proudly celebrate our sophomores on Sophomore Night — a special group of student-athletes who have represented Solano College with pride, passion, and perseverance both on and off the court. These young men have left a lasting mark on our program, and tonight we honor their commitment, leadership, and accomplishments.
#1 Dominick Dennis
Our first sophomore has been the definition of consistency and leadership.
With over 700 career college points, he made an immediate impact as a freshman, averaging 13.8 points and 7 rebounds per game. As a sophomore, he continued his strong play, averaging 13 points and 6 rebounds, shooting 35% from three-point range and an impressive 45% from three in conference play.
He has:

Scored 20 or more points five times, with a season high of 27 points

Earned 3 All-Tournament Team selections

Started 53 of 56 career games

His favorite moment? Hitting the game-winning three-pointer against Alameda — a shot that Falcon fans won’t soon forget.
A Business major, he plans to transfer to a four-year program to continue his basketball career. After completing his playing and academic journey, he aspires to become a firefighter.

#2 Matt Turnquist
Matt Turnquist, a Business major from Fairfield High School, has been one of the most athletic and explosive players to come through Solano College.

Matt’s favorite memory was the Monterey Bay Tournament, where team bonding and building lifelong friendships made the trip unforgettable.
After this season, Matt plans to obtain his barber’s license, pursue a career as a barber, and prepare to continue his basketball career in the Philippines.

#4 Nicko Ignacio
Nicko Ignacio, a Business Economics major from Rodriguez High School, has been an exceptional example of what it means to be a true student-athlete.

Nicko’s favorite moment was the Monterey Tournament trip — especially the team jacuzzi and 2K tournament competitions that built chemistry and camaraderie.
After this season, Nicko plans to transfer to UC Irvine to continue his academic journey.

Jorren Rillo, a Communications major from Vacaville High School, has been the heartbeat of this team for the past two years.

Graham Ogden, a Criminal Justice major from Will C. Wood High School, has embodied toughness and grit every time he’s stepped on the floor.

Isaac Sanchez, a 5-Time Dean’s List recipient majoring in Business from Alhambra High School, has been a key contributor far beyond the stat sheet.

His favorite moment was scoring on the first play back after returning from an elbow injury that kept him out the entire preseason — a moment of resilience and determination.
Isaac plans to transfer to a four-year institution to complete his studies and hopes to continue playing at the next level.
