Rocklin, Calif. - Sophomore Hailey Enriquez led the Falcon offense, but the Solano softball team was edged by No. 9 Sierra, 9-7, on Thursday afternoon.
Enriquez went yard to put Solano on the board first, adding a double in her efforts. Overall she went 2-for-4 with a run and three RBI. A trio of freshmen in Gracie Alves, Steele Shumway, and Lyndsey Urricelqui all earned a pair of hits in the game with each going 2-for-4. Alves added a pair of RBI, while Urricelqui scored a pair of runs.
Freshman Ari McIntyre (1-2) was charged with the complete-game loss, allowing seven earned runs and fanning a pair.
Solano (3-8) returns home to host Lassen in a doubleheader on Saturday, Feb. 22 beginning at 11 a.m.
