Solano Dominates Mendocino, 69–46, on the Road

Solano put together a dominant all-around performance Friday evening, rolling past Mendocino 69–46 on the road behind a fast start and balanced contributions throughout the lineup.
The Falcons set the tone immediately, exploding for 31 points in the first quarter to seize full control of the game. Solano’s defensive pressure and activity on the glass kept Mendocino scoreless through the opening three quarters, allowing the Falcons to build a commanding lead before closing out the contest.
Natalia Sanchez led all scorers with a game-high 22 points, shooting an efficient 10-for-15 from the field while adding three rebounds. Hillary Steinman chipped in 12 points and four rebounds, while Lucia Alexander filled the stat sheet with 8 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 steals, anchoring Solano’s defensive effort.
Solano’s depth also played a key role, as reserves Eva Arceo and Abril Gutierrez each scored 6 points, helping maintain energy and pace throughout the game. The Falcons won the rebounding battle 35–6, including 19 offensive rebounds, creating multiple second-chance opportunities.
