Solano Women’s Basketball Secures Road Win at Shasta, 64–53
December 6, 2025 – Redding, CA

Solano College earned a strong road victory on Saturday evening, defeating Shasta 64–53 behind a dominant fourth-quarter performance and a career night from sophomore standout Amari Mason.

The Falcons led 17–16 after a competitive first quarter, but both teams traded runs throughout the first half, entering the break tied 28–28. Solano found a rhythm in the second half, outscoring Shasta 36–25—including a decisive 19–7 fourth quarter—to pull away for the win.

Mason was unstoppable, posting 31 points, 17 rebounds, and 5 blocks while shooting 10–25 from the field and a crisp 6–6 at the line. Her presence on both ends fueled Solano’s late-game surge.

Supporting Cast Produces in Key Moments

  • Natalia Sanchez added 12 points and 3 offensive rebounds, battling inside all night.

  • Ciara Miller contributed an efficient 7 points, including a perfect 2–2 from the line.

  • Jaylen Kuehnel chipped in 6 points, 3 assists, and a steal.

  • Off the bench, Abril Gutierrez provided a valuable spark with 5 points and 4 rebounds, while Eva Arceo added 3 points and an assist.

Solano finished with 36 total rebounds, including 12 on the offensive glass, and knocked down 85.7% of its free throws—a key advantage in a physical matchup.  The  Falcons end the Crossover 2-1.
