Solano Out Scores Marin in 6–1 Victory

The Solano College women’s soccer team prevailed with a commanding 6–1 victory over the College of Marin on Friday afternoon at home. The Falcons exploded offensively scoring 6 goals.
Sophomore forward Katelyn Walbolt set the tone early, scoring two quick unassisted goals to give Solano an early cushion. Charlotte Seres followed with a goal of her own to make it 3–0 before Breanna Davis struck twice, both assisted by Kalina Osorio, extending the lead to 5–0. Osorio capped off the offensive surge with a goal assisted by Aaliyha Padilla, giving Solano a commanding 6–0 lead.
Marin broke through in the 30th minute with a goal from Clover Cicoletti, but Solano’s defense held firm for the remainder of the match. Goalkeepers Jasmine Calderon and Hannah Brackfield combined for 90 minutes in goal, with Brackfield recording four saves in the second half.
The win was a complete team effort, with Solano showing depth and discipline across the field. Despite two yellow cards issued to Ariana Perez Ruiz and Mia Ponce, the Falcons maintained control throughout the match.
With this victory, Solano improves its conference record and continues to establish itself as one of the top contenders in the Bay Valley. The Falcons will look to keep their momentum going in their next match as they continue conference play.
