Solano College volleyball delivered a statement performance Friday night, sweeping College of Marin in straight sets (25–12, 25–7, 25–20) at Falcon Gym. The victory showcased the Falcons’ efficiency on offense, strong serving, and balanced team play as they improved their Bay Valley Conference record to 3-0.
Sophomore standout Aliyah Aguiar led the charge with a nearly flawless hitting performance — 12 kills on 16 attempts for an incredible .750 hitting percentage, along with an ace and a block assist for 13.5 total points. Setter Giana Guintu orchestrated the attack with precision, recording 15 assists and 8 service aces, while adding 5 kills of her own.
Freshman Kaylie Reyes continued her hot streak on both sides of the ball, tallying 9 kills (.529), 11 assists, and 5 aces, contributing a match-high 14.5 points. Lilliana Mass added 9 kills and 4 digs, while Jasmine Ting provided a spark off the bench with a perfect hitting mark (1.000), 6 assists, and 9 digs.
Defensively, Solano’s back row, led by Maui Asuncion and Reyes, held Marin to zero offensive rhythm — the Mariners failed to record a single kill in the match. The Falcons’ serve pressure and relentless defense forced errors throughout.
