Solano Sweeps Porterville in Straight Sets at Modesto Tournament
Modesto, CA – August 29, 2025
The Solano Falcons put together a dominant performance Friday afternoon, sweeping Porterville College 3–0 (25–20, 25–14, 25–13) in their neutral-site matchup at Modesto. With a balanced attack and strong execution on both sides of the ball, Solano controlled the match from start to finish.
Leading the way offensively was Aliyah Aguiar, who powered the Falcons with 18 kills on a blistering .484 hitting percentage, adding 19.5 total points to her stat line. Lilliana Mass was equally efficient, recording 9 kills with just one error to hit .533 on the day. Setter Giana Guintu orchestrated the offense masterfully, dishing out 25 assists while contributing 3 kills and 6 digs.
On the defensive end, libero Kaylie Reyes anchored the backcourt with 15 digs, while Makenzie Lovell chipped in 5 digs of her own. Solano’s serve proved to be another weapon, with Jasmine Ting and Kyla Stephenson combining for 7 of the team’s 9 service aces.
As a team, Solano hit an impressive .351, racking up 41 kills against just 7 errors. Their ability to sustain offensive pressure and limit mistakes proved too much for Porterville, who struggled to find rhythm and managed no kills across the three sets.
With the win, the Falcons continue to build momentum early in the season, showcasing depth, balance, and confidence heading into the rest of their schedule.
